The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) of Diponegoro University is one of the leading faculties in Indonesia that focuses on the development of marine and fisheries science and technology. With a commitment to the sustainability of the coastal and marine environment, FPIK Undip is active in research activities, community service, and national and international collaboration. This faculty has various study programs that support the creation of superior human resources in the fields of fisheries, aquaculture, oceanography, and coastal area management.
FPIK Undip has strong experience in organizing various international scientific events. One of the most well-known is the International Conference on Tropical and Coastal Region Eco Development (ICTCRED) which is held every two years and involves participants from various countries. In addition, FPIK also holds international seminars in the field of aquaculture and fish migration management, which discuss important issues such as climate change, fisheries technology, and sustainability of marine resources. These various activities demonstrate the ability of FPIK Undip as an organizer of international scientific forums.
In 2025, FPIK Diponegoro University was trusted as the organizer and host of the International Fisheries Symposium (IFS) 2025, a prestigious scientific forum that brings together academics, researchers, and fisheries practitioners from various countries. This trust is proof of recognition of FPIK Undip’s track record in organizing previous international events and its commitment to supporting sustainable fisheries development. Through the implementation of IFS 2025, FPIK Undip not only strengthens its position in the global arena, but also opens up opportunities for wider international collaboration in the field of fisheries research and innovation.
